Master Irvin's House of Discipline — Tae Kwon Do and real-world self-defense in Bossier City, Louisiana

Welcome to
the House

Your first class is free. Master Irvin has taught in Bossier City since 1995 — kids, teens, adults and seniors, on the same floor, to the same standard. Most schools train students to score points for judges; that is theater. Here you learn the mindset first, then the discipline, then the skills.

The lineage

Master Irvin is a 7th degree black belt, studying for his 8th under Grand Master Milton “Mike” Brown, 9th Degree, President of the National Taekwondo Federation of America. He began teaching in 1976 at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches and opened his first Bossier City school in August 1995.

In the years since he has been the official martial arts adviser and instructor for 11 Caddo Parish public schools, spent seven consecutive years training hundreds of JROTC cadets at their two-week summer camps, taught self-defense and weapons to the Louisiana State Police and to guards at the state’s juvenile detention centers, and served five years as an adjunct self-defense instructor at LSU-Shreveport. He has taught thousands of students, and has personally trained and promoted several masters.
